Many of us are "do-it-yourselfers". There's a certain satisfaction gained when you accomplish something on your own. This is no different when it comes to making your own video multimedia. However, as experts in this field, we feel it's important to touch on this subject especially when it comes to business-related multimedia. Unless you have extensive knowledge in the field, you should not attempt to make your own video multimedia for your business. Now this is not a statement to help drum up more business for ourselves. It's a truth that too many times we've seen Real Estate agents try to film video multimedia on their own and fail. What started as a "do-it-yourself" venture has turned into a waste of time, resources, energy and money! Real Estate Video Pros would like to list some helpful tips on when you should and when you shouldn't film your own multimedia.

When NOT to film your own video multimedia:

1) If you've never shot video before

2) If you are rushing to shoot

3) Only have yourself to help film the project

4) If you are not well versed in your video camera

5) Have no idea how to edit or how you are going to publish your video

When you can film your own video multimedia:

1) If you are on-site at an exciting event you want to share

2) Doing a simple, personal video blog

3) Have basic knowledge and experience of video multimedia

4) Have the time to devote to making a decent shoot
